Anyone used the G20 valve fuel cleanser?

I did my full service a week ago, and my mechanic has been recommending me this product for quite a while so I thought I'd try it. Got it from him, but slightly skeptical about using it. Supposedly it makes a huge difference to the performance and economy and the way he described it, I am in for a very pleasant surprise. This got me skeptical as well, if there are any side effects in the long run but it seems to just be a product which cleans out all the carbon built up over the years in the fuel lines.BTW, the mechanic is a trusted person and isn't 'pushing' products. Sort of a family friend, so I am 100% sure he's not looking for $$$. I'm just skeptical about long term. I have a M50b20, runs very smooth no issues so far and the age old saying 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' comes to mind whenever I see this can lying in my car. :stupid:
