Hi guys, want to hear some comment if getting this car ? 0 knowledge about this.. 735Li better or 730Li ? Good to keep for few years ? Only thing i know is good to sit at the back ! LOL ~

Hey bro,

Best to consult EL118 and maccasel. Both recently purchased E66s if not mistaken. You can try searching for their posts, cos I remembered coming across a thread which EL118 started for his E66.

EL118 has a 730Li, and Maccasel have a 740Li. As Eggie have said, they probably can give you their opinions.

Hi bro ansonsoo,

Mine is an e66 740Li 2007 model....one word....excellent....all round a very good car...'value buy' considering the depreciation it has suffered.....comfort and power is what u will get....

The 2003 would be the pre facelift model...the electricals on these cars can be scary, not to mention it's maintenance....so u gotta really scout for a well maintain beauty...

These cars are well built so it will definitely last more than a few years, if properly maintain....

Me no regrets....hahaha....

Good luck in yur search bro and I will be glad to assist where I can

Great info bro.. How much roughly on Market for 07 ? I saw an 2002 unit selling RM11XK only, for 745Li! Really attracting man ! This car have to use longer period since so comfort. But i worry the maintainence high on V8, 7er mah..

Hi bro,

When I was scouting my car, think the price ranges from 260k to 350k bro....tink I recall seeing a recond 703li 2007 model asking for 300k....looks like pricing wise is very subjective...depending on model and specs...

Yes yes, agree that these cars can be used for a long time....and the pricing is attractive due to it's high depreciation...hehehe

Maintenance for this cars is not for the faint hearted, hahhahaha.....can be killer bro....my 4litres engine consumes quite a far bit of engine oil....

From your post, you seem to be leaning towards the pre face lift model...r u looking for 2nd hand units or record models?

A car with full service history would help bro, most of these cars were probably company maintain....most company would change cars every 5 or 6 years....just make sure u get it properly checked bro before u commit...

Agreed with Maccasel, try to get the facelifted model which started sometime in late 2005. appearance wise much improved not to mention the electronic fault corrected and upgraded.

Price for 2006-2008 730Li model ranges from RM200k - RM299k. go for 740Li if you want more power + if FC and road tax is of no concern to you. he he.

the one on carlist, Interior looks like from a prefacelift version, by looking at the "Yatch" trim. It used to be on the 760LI version

can anyone access to Mudah lately?
Over the last 3 days, I cant seem to access it either from the office or at home...

it is UK spec, normally UK spec is more basic. dun have optional accesories like night vision, comfort access, active seat etc.

There is actually no such thing as a 'UK spec'. In UK you get a basic car with a sheet for the options list, you tick what you want. If the first owner who ordered direct from BMW didnt tick any of the boxes it'll be a very basic car. If the first owner ticked all the boxes then it'll be a fully specced car. Not like in Malaysia where we have to swallow whatever the dealers feeds us.

Just thinking whether this could be a prefacelift turn facelift model car.. quite common to see in Malaysia.

That is 2008 model, got to be facelift model. retrofit facelift model are those 2003 -2005.

Yeah that is true. normally UK car owner will go for basic spec and thus the recon car spec will be basic,as opposed to Japan recon car which "normally" go for high spec. but problem is u have to bear with the Japanese software.

Thanks for all the concern, of course will prefer new facelift, but is out of my budget. Actually before didn't realize this unit, is because saw some unit selling below RM150k, so was interested to know more.. And saw an unit 745Li 2002 on motor trader price only RM11xK, actually the price attract me to look into this car.
