While trying to fix the loosen cover next to the driver side aircon vent hole, I found another rusted metal parts hidden in our dash board inner structure. Try to open up this open, your UDM may have this bonus as well. It's pretty similar to the front seat hinge metal bracket material and surface finishing.

I just filed another email complain to BMW Malaysia, let see what excuse they are going to give.

I suspect BMW may say that they are using bio degradable environmentally friendly paint for internal metal parts that's not exposed to the weather to protect the environment. So there may be some compromise on the durability of protection from this bio degradable paint.

Friend, can u zoom out the picture a little bit ?
I wanted to post larger pic, but the file size is big. When the car door is open, you can notice a plastic side cover. The picture I uploaded is with the cover removed.

that doesn't look like rust to me..
Bro, the flash from my phone makes the rust looks like a "chocolate powder". Indeed, it's a oxide layer form on the steel. I touch it with my finger, confirmed it's rust.

That is the tubular frame underneath the dashboard, that part is never painted in any BMW. If you frequent chop shops, you will see halfcuts with its dashboard off exposing this frame, and you will see almost always this frame is rusted a bit, but not too bad. Its not a problem specific to F30s.

This is the frame in an X1:
