Count me in too, Rachel. - E90 (Pre-LCI).

Finally got mine up.

A bit of blue theme when start up...must be due to the 12K bulbs, fit well with my Leman Blau.

LED vs HID...besides the 50USD price difference and of course, more brighter, what else the difference?

LED - Better life span & Low Power Consumption & Less heat
HID - Much more Brighter

IMHO, if you always turn ON DRL, go for HID, LED not really noticeable in daytime especially with white color. But at nighttime, i think HID is over bright, the benchmark ring and Xenon become no different, unless different color.

bro ronnie2k9, from your pics, seems there r many wire tangling around...?

Personally I have the same feeling that its too bright.
hence I m going with the LED option.... I might regret it, but if I don't try, I would not know....
furthermore, from the bimmian website there is a reduction in price.

oh yeah....the heat. In our E90 cars, the DRLs are always on. Might the wires melt?

The heat actually is on the bulk/lamp...

But for wire melting, 3-6W LED shouldnt have any problem to reuse the existing wire. For HID (~35W or ~3Amp), i believe the kit should come with retrofit cable which support higher rate of power. So the melt issue should not be there at all. Not forgettable the Fuse protection is there before wire start to burn off.
