My E39 lights are quite old therefore a little dirty/misty. It is not very bright in the night. Just changed one of the bulbs but still a little dim. :beaten:  Anyway to make it brighter? Heard there was a brighter bulb for it? Xenon? Any racun out there?? :nyehehe: :nyehehe:

Yes, you modified xenon lamp to your angel eye. You can use maglight bulb but not sure whether they can take 12 VDC. If not, limit the current with a resistor.

Is this just for the angel eyes or do I have to change the whole unit??
for a 5 series angel, the bulb are changeable. I will need to have a look at the exact set setup before I can comment further. However, I don't think you have to change the whole unit unless you are upgrading to CCFL angel eye.

eh.... what is "CCFL angel eye"?? :dunno:

What you need to know? I think mine was upgraded with the "ori" unit. It has amber lights on the side.

CCFL is cold cathode flourescent Lamp. Super white bright. compare to the ori unit, the CCFL is at least 10 time more bright. It so bright that you can even see it light up when in the daytime.

Your ori light is come with normal yellowish colour bulb. The bulb can be upgrade to brighter buld in theory.

Hhmmm.... That is neon lights(CCFL). THe ori one is just a normal halogen bulb with the "halo" reflectors.

How/Who can I get info on the bulb? :dunno:

How much is the CCFL angel eyes?

My angel eyes is acting weird. it is ok on the road, but when it is in the house, the amber light turns on instead of the angel eyes. Happen a couple of times.

Think it might be the wiring. Anyone know what might be the problem??

CCFL is not neon. It can be considered as our household flourscent tube. The operate with high voltage and frequency.

Your ori halo is by fiber optic reflection.

I think chester is selling them for about Rm650.
