Hi there, i am considering to buy a E46 2001, therefore just wan some advise/opinion b4 its too late :) 1. The car comes with 19" AC Type 4 rims, i m kinda worried that its gonna be very hard to drive in KL with such a big rim.. so i wanna know anyone using 19" rims and their problems etc etc... do u think i should change to 18"?2. The HU of stock E46, i heard frm couple of E46 owners that the original HU is kinda sensitive.. they advise me to change the HU. Wat HU do u guys recommend? i m not really into audio sys, a simple and nice one will do..

bro... wat cc is the car u r lookin at, 318, 323, 325, 330?

19" is huge for a 318 but we do hv members with those on but ideally if u wan the looks go for 18"... gud enough..

HU is sensitive? y do they say tht? unless u goin to upgrade ur audio, u dont have to change the HU.... if the car u lookin at is a jap spec car the HU would hv prob tuning the radio stations as the frequency range is different..

wish u luck in ur hunt

I think the HU should be the least of your worries in the grand scheme of things.
19s is for M3s. Even then, some M3 owners prefer 18s
Not to mention the cost of tires! and potholes etc etc

cc is 325...

ofcourse 19" will look good, but i really worried about driving it in kl.. potholes, underground basement carpark... sigh...

Bro... if you're thinking about 19" againts 18", then I say keep the 19" on...

You see - beamers are rear wheel drive cars - therefore you don't have drive shaft problems in the front as the power is trasmitted to the rear wheels that are not required to turn... so, you won't have drive shaft problems like those on japs cars (front wheel)...

On the potholes - yes, you need to be careful, but then again even on the 18", you still need to be careful all the same....

On the cost of tyres - well, how often do you really change your tyres? once in 2-3 years maybe... the diff btw the 18" tyres and 19" tyres over that period, would be insignificant...

At least the 19" would look awesome on your ride and not many would have them.... Rims bro, are like pussies - nothing under 18! Hahaha....

HAPPY HUNTING! (for your e46 that is....)

Bro, keep your HU lar.. changing it might cause even more sensitivity..
Agreed with most on the 19".. However, alternatively you can exchange your Type 4 19" with my Type 4 18".. hehehe.. I'll shoulder your problems..

lol... dats wat i m planning to do, selling the 19" buying a 18"...
i"ll let u know, if i m gonna exchange it..

btw.. hmm coz i saw some E46, i assume its 2000 model and 2001 model 325i, coz its the old face lift. Inside its a stock cassette HU, anyone can help me??

18", 19" .. ya will make you look good. Same as having a super model girlfriend.

I presume She cant go scuba, trekking, F1, GP, Drag race, sit down at coffee shop and bla whole night on UDM and etcs you like most. ya??

If you get a 17" then you will feel the most of your car performance ya? Like have a sexy gal with you to do all the things you like to do... hahaha

Just my point of view la.

Actually I don't quite get your question.. Are you asking if its true they have stock cassette HU? If that's the case, then yes, they do.. And if you ARE changing your HU, sell me your stock set.. mine sot-sot-tei already..

Cheers..

yeah.. izzit comes with cassette HU... means it just cassette no cd? or its a changer?
