Thought of getting a bmw x5 3.0 year 2001. anyone using this car before? how about the car maintainence?? i read from other source that it might be very costly. need advice please. i never use conti car before. tq.

All the BMW maintainence cost are kinda high if compared to Japan made. But, fro year 2001, I think most of the parts are available at outside parts dealer rather then have to purchase from Auto Bavaria itself. This will make a different in term of costing of repair.

Watch out for rear air suspension probs and software glitches. Other than that standard german car maintainance of RM5k per year plus or minus. Get a low mileage 1 owner and enjoy it. RM480k when it was new.

get a real test drive...watch out for the front suspension..if it is ballon type then take it to pros to make sure it still ok...lower arms for this age normally be an issue...but it can be easily changed...get to know the workshop who knows the stuff as well...
