Just involved in an accident few days back. Totally the fault of the other driver ... lining up in a long traffic jam when suddenly he banged my backside. Backside gone and my fuel tank broke. What a funny BMW technology to put fuel tank right at the back.Filing in 3rd party claim. Sent the car to my regular paint workshop. My shop said can repair and claim. Unfortunately the shop is neither my insurance panel nor the other party panel. Will I face any difficulties?

sorry to hear that.

yes you will face some problems if not panel workshop esp when making 3rd party claim. Try to sort out something with the workshop guys to get a quote from a panel

I like the workshop as the give nice paint job and at a very reasonable price. And today I received a good news, the Adjustor came and the workshop already started working on my car.

Have anyone heard that we can make transportation claim from the insurance company for the number of days that the car at the workshop. This is to compensate the trouble that we have to go thru without the car.

And just to share, on the accident day when I'm stuck by the roadside, as usual there's a few tow truck people came. Some of them asked me what insurance I use and told me that their workshop dont want to accept cars from Kurnia. Lucky me ... I'm not using Kurnia.

tks...bro...i'll call him to check it out...

Bros, got another problem. When the car banged my butt, my dashboard (I mean the meter) came out and the clip is broken, cannot be fixed. Now my problem is ...

Since he banged my rear, I was told that the insurance wont cover any damages to other areas. And since the meter is inside the car and situated almost at the front area, they wont cover it. Have anyone faced this kind of problem before? Is this true?

Need your advise fast as my car is ready for collection but with the meter hanging out.

Yeah, they are good. They have been "doing" up my cars from all their unfortunate encounters. Fast service too.:top:

In insurance terms "Loss of Use" Don't expect much and they determine the number of days it takes to repair the car.

But in my case, the workshop loaned me one of their cars for the duration my car was in the workshop.

Bro, I have no problem with Kurnia whether 1st party claim or 3rd party claim.

kurnia have express claim where you just send the car to their branch and they will make an offer to you within 24 hours. You make repair by yourself with the cheque issue to you.

For 3rd party claim, you still make the claim to your insurance company. They will make arrangement with the other party.:top:

You know why the tow truck vulture does not accept car from Kurnia.. because Kurnia have their own panel of workshops all around Malaysia. Kurnia also have a toll free line to contact for assistance or tow truck service. If I am not mistaken, the first 10 km is FREE. Tow truck driver can promise you everything when the want to tow your car. (cari makan mah) Just be careful.

I am satisfied with Kurnia service so far. :top:
