abnormal sound

guys,am a newbie to e30's, and i have a question to ask.there is a 'klak klak' sound everytime i press the accelerator.the sound disappears after i release the pedaland no sound when i rev at neutral.any ideas what is making the sound??thanx
 
Transmisson Going To Kong I Thing...
Is your's manual or Auto...
Cause If not mistaken...
Manual.. Either You're Clutch or you're gear gigi or rear axle differential punya gigi...
 
had the same problem w my manual 316i, but only no sound when clutch is depressed!
changed the clutch plates also same... lastly had to change the gearbox!

sigh... KERIIINGGGGGGGGGGGG now!
 
change the manual g-box ..... i tought can be overhaul right ??

pls explain can ahhh d point ??

Check the bush of you pedal.

mine is a 318i manual..
gearbox going to kong?? demmmm..i'm gonna b so broke
the sound is intermittent...sometimes is very obvious, sometimes not s obvious
but for sure is goes away when in neutral
p/s i did miss a gear while shifting recently :(

the sound went away for a while but now its back...demmit.
been reading on the net...it cud b due to center support bearing or the axle cv joint..gonna check those next...cross fingerss
