Dear allThis is my first experiece witht this model and i hv some reserve b4 i get 1 .As a newbie with this model i not sure when come to part and maintainance. My question as follows 1) Is this car a high maintainance car ?2) Spare part hard to comeby ?3) If the Body part rare and hv to import most time ?4) Any good workshop who can service this car ?5) Wat is the market value for a 635csi year 1980 - 1985 ? 6) Wat is the most important thing i need to check or know when buying this car

maybe my answers may help.

1) Is this car a high maintainance car ?
- not so, if the current condition is fine, can start, no oil leak, no tappets sound, gearbox is smooth, etc.

2) Spare part hard to comeby ?
- depands what you need, body parts are hard to get a non-rusted doors, engine wise is available old and new..sometimes need to order from germany.

3) If the Body part rare and hv to import most time ?
- as said above, try chop shops, you might get lucky.

4) Any good workshop who can service this car ?
- there is a list of good shops, check out some of the threads here.

5) Wat is the market value for a 635csi year 1980 - 1985 ?
- good running condition is from 15k to 20k and mint conditionis almost 40k

6) Wat is the most important thing i need to check or know when buying this car
- rust on the body, especially the firewall, footwell and rear boot..
- engine is secondary, cos it can be re-built
- dashboard must be cracked free, no use finding a new one..
- make sure the electronics like the OBC, check controls & meter cluster are working condtion, very hard to get a spare.
