Be Patient Brother, I Spent 6 Months To Find My Perfect Wife Also, Haha!!!

Before I Bought My Current E39 525i, I Went To SG PJ To Check The Price Of The Car... They Had One 525i 1999 Unregister, That Time Sell Rm160k+.......

Then I Found The Current One, Which Is More Perfect Than The SG One, Japan Spec, 2002, It Cost Much Lesser Than The One In SG La~~~~ Lower Somemore~~~

Thanks for the info. Never like dealers tampering with the meter. Tu strike out tu.

All the best in your search.

I suggest you can try and ask around the more reputable BMW workshops. They may have customers who are thinkg to selling or upgrade.

At least the mechanic there can tell u how much that fellow have dumped in his car and if he really sayang his ride.

If you have friends with BMW's even better, ask them to recommend.

Have it diagnostic tested 1st, check the chasis no vs the year and thirdly u must test drive. Take it through diff kinds of roads and hear for sounds, rattles, wheel shimmy and of couse good gear shifts and not forget power.

But generally, if you want recond new , that's quite risky as the E39 is considered old stock and the choices are getting lower.

Be thorough

Bro,

Consider these steps..

1. Check the car legality, VIN number match, documentations, AP, customs etc.
2. Bribe of the sifus here and and a mechanic to see the car, plug in diagnost, do the physical check..engine oil, coolant, temperature etc. Make sure no funny lights coming on the dashboard.
3. All electrical should work, air cond, motorised seats, memory, sunroof, powerd side mirror, power windows etc. Sifus come in handy in this area.
4. Take car to drive. Preferably the road you familiar. Notice any sound. Changing from P to R / D should be smooth and quick, suspension noise, braking and ALSO....temperature. Sifus also come in handy here as well.
5. Nego price.
6. Go back home and pray.
7. Decide & pay deposit
8. Drive the car and PRAY HARDER...heh heh

Do not feel pressured to conclude the deal. Remember...a lot of other cars waiting for u in the market. As a general rule...sample at least 5-10 units, then u know the difference between lemons and peaches.

bro, i tested 1 e39 yr 01 fr. motor trader advertise at 96K only, 86k km, engine, dashboard like new, after nego. final price 91k, cheap, cheap u think. turn out to be badly accident car. repair work was so excellent that i didn't notice until i test drove the car, it just doesn't feels right. my suspicion was later confrimed by a mechanic friend. lucky i have yet to pay a deposit. so remember ....cheap, cheap thing no good, good good thing no cheap. if u want to buy a car, don't expect to get it dirt cheap. u can only get a well maintain car at their market price, nothing lower.
