RM45k is reasonable for 97 model but if the car is in excellence condition and it is well taken care of.. most owner would sell it for RM50K as thats the market price.

try one more la bro! E36 328 1996 or 97 if i not mistake. loc shah alam (motortrader also)

Zul,

Thats very kind of you to share your experience. It is really helpful to many.

By the way have you test drive any 318? 97/98? Some may said it is under power.. some might say it is good for daily drive with low maintainance.

Can you share your experience with 318 and give us a guide of how much good one are selling

Thanks

ya geoff,

I'm not test many 318 just 7 car only last month,
most that I test is 328: 8 from motor trade + 14 from newspaper + 2 usedcar
total all bmw that i have test is arround 38 cars including 7: my kazen and unkel bimmer,
then mercedes: 4 pcs only.

318 is still uDM, it has cool handling and cool speed.
the best 318 I try is 318i 1.9L (E46) coupe, cool corner, top speed at 200+km/h quiet stable ( due to lightweight engine+ resonance = little bit goyang at top speed.

the good one I found (but not remember from where, need check my list..)
with great condition, the owner want 57K E36 318 1998, but 318 (my opinion) drink petrol, under power (yes), from start: when the car start to move I feel slow then I put more on throttle paddle equal kuat minyak. I think for chassis like E36 the ideal engine is around 2.5L or above. bmw put 1.8L maybe for market target etc...

my opinion:
E36 318 : cool for run (maintenance side not really know)
E46 318 coupe: wow!!.. but still cannot beat E36 328!
E36 325 : i'm very bad: never really test it yet to max (officially)
E36 328 : cool to run and fun to drive

(no test drive/ be passenger only)
E46 M3 (my boss car) : incredible power and style (maintenance=matilaaa)
M6 (my boss car) : uncomparable power, king of the road (maintenance+FC=matilaaa)

328 is very great & ideal machine for me.
318 feel like Perdana V6 (I found a good one)

one more thing!!
if possible don't buy bmw at used car dealer!
they will try to do everything to sell the car.
they put timber dust and mix it with oil engine to make the engine smooth like silk !! but after used it then come trouble (my friend be a victim for this trick)

kind Regards
ZUL

Very cool infor you have there Zul. Do share more of your experience. Will help others who are looking for E36. I notice Geof, test drive many cars prior to his purchase. He end up with a 318i E36 as he cant find a good 328/325.
If possible, share the car plate number here and state the condition so others dont have to go thru the trouble of test drive.

don't buy this one too

SilverACBimmer, I afraid kena saman dgn owner, cannot reveal plate number.... :)

haa! one more thing I remember, the green E36 with 17"rim Loc.Sunway, the owner advert it near 4 month! never give up! .... the car condition(body): no prob. but performance very sad to feel. fill like waja auto! price 47 800.00 (don't buy): from motortrader magazine.

BMW on NGV

Hi, i am a new member here, just a question, have you really install the NGV on your BMW? How is the performance after the installaion? How big is the tank? Which supplier you went for? Can i have the contact?

Thanks,
Lin

Hahaha!

I did discuss on Bi Fuel options (NGV) but kena bomb kao kao! Personally I feel it is a good option as it cost less then RM3000 and in the long run, you can enjoy your ride more..

Now you can install two tanks in your car and that can give you about 300km per fill. Less visit to NGV station

Imagine RM70 of NGV can bring you around for 2000km instead of 300KM on petrol. If engine not powerful enough then get 328 ... roadtax also reduced by 50% hahaha.

I learn that the negative effect of NGV is hotter engine, but many mech adviced to change the termo to 80c and it will be fine

By posting this.. sure kena marah again..

Hi, i am new member here, just a doubt, which NGV supplier you went? Can i have the contact? How big is the tank you installed? Can it really fit in the boost or remove the spare tire? How is the performance?

Your advise and support is very much appreciated.

Thanks & regards,
Lin
