Hey Sith, thanks for organizing the event.
Was actually pretty interesting to visit the old folks home. Also nice to see the group of guys that had the time to volunteer their time for this charity event. It wasn't much but those that were there did their part.

Those that signed up and never showed, and didn't have the nerve to call to cancel, shame on you... Dont' be such a hero to sign up and don't show. If you can't make it at least let us know. I saw a handful of E46 names but never saw a single one. Geez dudes, that pathetic...

Well, to the guys that attended, hope you guys enjoyed your time as I think most of the old folks enjoyed our company.

Had some a good old fun session with the old folks. (pardon the pun) by taking a handful of them for little drives around the compound. A couple of them wanted more excitement but I didn't want to mess around the parking lot. Don't want to be held liable if something happend to the old folks... know what I mean.
But had a drift session with the younger group of gals.

Well, guys post those pictures.

Great stuff. Keep it up guys. We're making the special children and old folks happy. Who or what next?

Sith, great stuff. despite having only 6 cars, it's the thoughts and effort that counts. So kudos to those who made it.

To all that showed up,

1. Red Z4
2. XXX
3. Nikkazwaa
4. Donald
5. Eddie ( Donald's mate )
6. Hellboy
7. Alvin Khoo
8. Al Bundy.
9. Lionel Koh

Thank you very much for your time, contribution and care for these old folks. You guys sure put a smile on these folks. They were very happy. Sister Mary Jan was very touched that the few of us would take time to visit these people who at the end of the day needed time and conversation from visitors. All of you did a great job. Kudos to all of you. I may not have done much, but at least I showed up. :p

Here's how the day started. Met up at sunway rest area at about 8.30 am and was suprised to see only 3 cars there. Nikk and XXX rode with us in our cars. We started our journey at about 9.40 am and of course XXX rode in the Z4 and behaved like a monyet  ( yes yes we have photographic evidence of this perculiar behaviour of his ) half way thru Lionel met up with us and joined the convoy. Just as we approaced the nursing home Alvin Khoo Joined us as well. Al Bundy had to go to the office, but managed to rush and meet us there...

As soon as we parked our cars, we were greated by sister Mary and she took us their hall to see a bunch of the old folks involved in their own little ochestra. they were so happy to see us. They were guided by two good souls who tought them how to sing and dance. Of course these two good women... errr... good looking women basicly made everyones jaw drop. We were then given a tour of the whole home and we had the chance to interact with the folks. It was amazing. Honestly it was. Some of them even make their own souveniers and most of the guys bought some thing or the other. XXX please, we dont wanna know what you are gonna be doing with what you bought ok...:p

After all this they rushed out to see the Red sports car. they took pictures and and Red Z4 was kind enough to give the ones who wanted a ride, a ride with the top down. Of course at the end he gave the two chickas a ride as well and mannnn... did we hear them scream. And most importantly I wold like to take this time to Thank Nikk who walked around with his guitar and played tunes in the back ground. he also participated in their little ochestra and had a chance to have a 5 minute jam session with their very own 85 year old guitarist. Thanks Mate.

Of course after this Al Bundy had to rush back to work and Red Z4 had to run back for another apointment. The rest of us decided to drive to Ulu Langat look out point for some food. After a good meal and nice view of KL ( and yes Nikk its Haze not fogg ) we took off for our drive to some water fall.

At this point Yellow Mellow joined us. It was good to have you there bro. So we drove and drove and drove and got to this high peak near some water falls and it rained cats and dogs. We could not get out, so we decided to carry on our drive and put our cars to the test in the rain and the bends. We eventually ended up in a gas station in Jelebu ( some where near seremban ). After some photo shots we decided to head back the same way we came. Half way thru there was a huge bamboo tree that fell across the road due to the storm. Being the good souls they were all these guys stoped their cars in the middle of the road with their hazard lights on and helped move the tree. Thanks Nikk again for initiating this.

After a nice scenic drive again we arrived at some dam where we stoped and took more shots and went our seperate ways from there. It was all in all a wonderfull saturday. Once again thanks guys.

By the way I think XXX is planning another one for christmas. Stay tuned and we do sincerely hope we get more participation this time.

Photos will be up soon

Thank You
Sith

Do they really disappointed with their children who left them or they are happy to get somebody attention with well taken care off ? Can I hear some stories ...... Please. THank you so much.

dude, let me try to answer your questions.
We did talk to the old folks but didn't get too personal. But from what the 'sister' said, most of them are alright there. They certainly aren't treated poorly. The majority of them are single old folks, so they don't have children or grandchildren to look after them.
If you're an old person and never got married, this would probably be where you'll be heading. (of course, you have to be poor too, as these are the prerequisites). Your sibiling would be too old to take care of you too.
The activities provided is sufficient. Most of them have single rooms so its like a home to these people. Don't forget older folks don't need as much material things as we do. Just the attention and companion of someone was good enough to brighten their day.

What do think if their children still alive and busy in daily work and unable to take care of them so instead they send them to the old folks home so that they get more attention? Is this right u think ?

sorry guys could not make it... when back home town for the holidays... thought of spending the extra day with my own old folks and God bless all the other old folks too...

Godspeed...

Great job Sith... Hope you received my sms...

I have a valid reason for missing this out.
Actually it may not be a good thing to have a big group, it's about spending quality time with them. No point have 30 cars and half of them stay outside checking out their cars instead of accompanying the folks.

So when are we going there again?

I think XXX is organising a christmas event for them. We'll prolly have our very own choir. It wont be a 3ers drive tho' it will be just time spent with the old folks.

cheers

kudos sith for organizing the drive.... will definitely try to make the next one if nothin crops up last min....

Thanks Sithwarrior, is a great arrangement.

Having great time with all the guys. :D
