Hey guys,Need to find some kakis who are using this engine.Where do you source for your parts?I am looking for some engine parts and in the future also looking for some E36 coupe parts. These are all wear & tear parts.I find it difficult to find these parts at shops like Bavarian Auto.Some hoses, body rubber...Also, anyone got the ori air filter housing and the related rubber parts from the front all the way to the MAF lying around taking up storage space and you don't know where to chuck it? I am looking for one to replace my open pod filter.PM me .. thanks.

btw, you want source parts for 318IS..., a piece of cake..., I know where

btw, I got an original M42 airfilter housing full set (since mine turbocharged then no use lor), dunno if nyam or not.

affan dude.... doesnt fabian use an iS in his e30? Could be wrong but his version may share some commonalities....

if can't find M42 parts here , then got to visit SG..

As for me, I haven't replaced anything that is M42 specific. the parts which I have been buying are mainly M40/42 components...

the 318is I am holding on to now is not tip-top as per my standards (heheh).
Fixing many of the fuel-related stuff as it is dangerous to drive around when there is a fuel leak.
Also working on fixing the idle problem.

The exhaust also got lubang but I think the exhaust is not OE.

Try Inner power, bavarian auto, csc, comin, etc, M42 parts are rather easy to come by lar.......

M42, M43 and M44 all running on timing chains. M42 chain tensioner is prone to premature failure, better to replace it with M44 ones. Other than that, the engine is rock solid. Also, it shares valves and hydraulic lifters with the M50 engines.
