318i with crickets in the dashboard!!

ok guys, my '94 318i has an odd problem, sometimes, when the car has done a longish journey, and is really warmed through, upon braking, there sounds like a cricket chirping behind the dashboard......... only does it when braking, either hard or soft, but the really odd thing is this, when its making the noise, under braking, if i turn the blower fan to off, the noise goes away...............now, for the life of me, i cannot see any connection between the braking system and the aircon blower !!!anyone had this issue before? i have tried several times to replicate the noise at a standstill, so i can investigate, but it only does it when moving.......... the noise is definetly behind the dash board, not brakes etc.

Sounds like something is loose with the aircond vents or blower.

its high pitched squeel......... kinda like those old fashioned brake pad warnings..... but its in the dash, and whats the connection with touching the brake pedal?
