Hi All!Been recently having this problem: When I accelerate through a corner, there seems to be a cricket-like noise coming from the dash...It doesn't happen all that often so its been difficult to track downAnyone got any ideas on where to start looking?? :)

exhasut manifold maybe? at first it's tick tick tick tick...than after 6 month it'll sound like a motorboat. I'm so poor right now i took out my manifold, and welded it and put it back on (cost = RM 0) rather than buying a new one. but mine was like all the time not on and off like yours.

you sure it's not a real cricket in there? Ha ha..

Anyhow, my car have that symptom also when turning and on power..... I believe it;s caused by the ball joints as it's worn out. car is in workshop now. Not sure about your car though....

Bessie,

I had a noise which sounded like a wire was tapping on a metal part. The noise comes and goes unpredictably, so it was hard to catch.

You wont believe this - I finally traced it to a knackered engine mount! The engine mount was completely deflated, lowering the engine to one side, which when I corner, or go over uneven road which lowers the car to one side, causes the lowered engine to rub against some other part in the engine bay.

Hence the occassional 'crick crick' noise.

Let me know if your case if similar - may i suggest u check ur engine mount?
