Auto-Start-Stop (ASS) became jerky when stuck in rain and traffic for 1.5 hours

Had an odd experience 2 nights ago. Generally the ASS start has been smooth in my f10 but a couple of nights ago when I was in jam caused by rain/flood/tree fall the start when I took foot of brake was jerky. It surged forward and it felt so different from normal days. Anybody had this experience or have any suggested explanation why this phenomena ?

Hydroplaning. Your car was probably sitting on a small running stream of water and when the car started moving it had difficulty gaining traction, ABS/EBD/XXX system kicked in resulting in less than smooth movements.
