anyone of you e90/92 325 or e60/61 525 owners need more power for your car? interested in a 3.0 stroker for your n52-n53 engine? for those of you with an addiction to power, i got 2 limited set of 3.0 stroker kits available with complete n52/n53 3.0 block and internals like the crankshaft, conrods and pistons ( n52/n53 specific). this kit uses all original BMW factory parts to safely increase your engine capacity and performance to a 3.0. DME tuning will be included for a complete package.anyone interested?both kit sold. please PM me for further inquiries or orders.

Interesting. How will the larger bore pistons for the 3.0 ltr fit in the 2.5 ltr block + alum sleeve without a new magnesium block + sleeve?

N52 2.5 ltr is 82x78.8 (larger bore vs stroke better for high rev apps due to lower piston speed)

N52 3.0 ltr is 85 x 88 (longer stroke)

this kit consist of a complete lower 3.0 block and internals. all you need is to removed your current engine, separate the head and reinstall the 2.5l head onto the new block and internals.

Any indication of price range (no need to be exact) so that we can get a feeler if we can afford it or not :D

Price will be around 25k (euro dependent), it includes all the following:-

3.0 crankcase
3.0 crankshaft
3.0 conrods
3.0 pistons + new rings

the crankcase will be laser engraved with same number as your current block. no jpj inspection will be required.

the mvs-70 dme will be remap with a 330 bmw factory tuning. the stock tuning will be included in the package. the final product will be the same output as per the original 330i of 272hp / 315nm. a 58hp increase from stock 2.5l.

for those who need more, i am in the midst of negotiating a performance remap with a renown german bmw tuner. the performance tuned remap will definitely be much more potent than the 275hp/315nm from the stock 330 engine with at least +/- 15 hp and torque.

just a little performance data on what's to be had with the 3.0 stroker.

stock 2.5l n52b25 215hp / 250nm
stroked 3.0 n52b25 272hp / 315nm
with performance remap +/- 285hp / 328nm

The price is actually quite competitive for everything. But I still dont think it'll match the 330i performance without proper intake manifold, injectors, exhaust system etc. Unless there is something special with the mapping to eek out a few more horses here and there over the stock 330i.

according to my source, our malaysian n52b25 is already the O version which is the high power version. besides, both the 325 and 330 have a similar 3 stage intake manifold and even tuning is the same factory tuning done by bmw for a 330i. the power output and delivery should therefore be the same as a original 330i since there is no difference in part and tuning.

Correct on the 3 stage intake manifold for both our Euro spec 218hp 2.5 ltr and 3.0 ltr and both are the high output spec engines. But the intake manifold part numbers between 2.5 ltr and 3.0 ltr variants are different. My guess is that the 3.0 ltr manifold allows for better air flow (speed and volume) than the 2.5 ltr which is optimized for the 3.0 ltr displacement. Same with the exhaust system. Headers share the same part nos and throttle body also. But injector housing etc is also different based on a quick check at realoem.com

just check on a pair of intake today, seems like the difference is a 20mm extra length on the 330i intake. this would be good for low rev torque tuning. however even if its without the 330i intake, with a shorter intake the torque band will just be push slightly like 200rpm to a higher rev band. with the performance remap, the performance would be adjusted as per the intake and engine specification.

by doing this '3.0 stroker' basically increase the engine displacement to 3.0 litres right?

so need to get JPJ approval and road tax revised to 3.0l...

a new engine block is provided as part of the complete kit. this make it a very fast and easy swap, this can be done in a day. the block will be printed with the same engine number as the current engine prior to delivery. so no jpj inspection or declaration is needed. the roadtax remains at 2.5l.

for those with deeeeeep pockets, a 3.2l option is in development. this will have new 3.0 block with a custom 94mm stroke crank. if you have to ask how much for this, you may not afford it.

in other words, owning a 3.0l engine but pays for a 2.5l roadtax...right?

like that better not coz not worth the hassle if get caught...IMHO...
