hi guys, was changing the flow cap air intake ( its that what its called ?)for my spare tyre today , when i spotted those rims, Pheewitt... just a quick chat with the tokey guy and made a few calculations for potential new shoes for my black beauty. Now runnning on 205/60/R15 stock , for the last 10 yrs with Michelin tyres on with at least 85% thread rear and front..1.Offer made by the him was Rm 4500 ( M rims and new Michelin tyres ) after trade in with my old ones. Fair deal ?2.just changed my front boge suspension and tie rod ends 2 weeks ago , rear stock boge suspension changed in 2009. Will my suspension be able to handle the 225/17 rims and not affect the roof arch ? / fenders ?3. Performance wise : traction / speed / drag/ cornering / any significant improvement ? I'm no expert in this so i was hoping to get some expert advise before i take the plunge.tq.:dontknow:

My 46 is running on M-sport at the front 225/45/17 and rear 245/40/17 with no problem. My 36 is running on 225/45/17 all round, also no problem :burnout:

thanks crymson ,took the plunge and traded in my rims , tires and got myself some new shoes for her .A blessing in disguise , the rear brakepads were noticeably worn out and that too were changed.Just to share with you guys , nothing fancy but this is good enough for me.

yuop , i know... but as i said , its ok by me bro.cheers

Not intented to break your excitement. Sorry bro, but rm4500 is over price to me plus u trade in your wheel set.

Anyway enjoy the ride.

As mentioned by bro bmw7833 it's a replica and i really hope the shop didn't lie to you about the wheels being an ori m-sport rims

Used to have that design on my 46. One day on my way to Teluk Gong, I hit a pothole and the next day my tire was flat. Got it checked and found out the rim cracked. Decided to ditch those replicas and bought a set of original style 68 for RM1500. Never going to use replicas ever again.

tq bros for all the input , the tokey did say that it was a replica , and i got it at lower price than that , .Just so that i can learn from you all , what are the other things / pitfalls i should be looking out for ? i'm a defensive driver , used to be the opposite but not anymore.Car will go on occasional out station distance kl / trenggganu but other than that its mainly town driving.in other words , is it safe ? when it involves safety , im all for better alternatives.
Please advise , tq

With the smae price you could go to an off brand better quality Rims... sometimes its not the brand or make... when its already on ur Beemer it will outshine the rest...

Thats what my mech told me... but yeah if i were to buy something in that price range i make sure i buy something (even second hand) which is ori :)
