2012 BMW F10 engine

Just got delivery of the 528i Msport not long ago. Need some expert opinion here. I noticed that when the car is stationary on "P" & when you tap the accelerator briefly and promptly (no need full depression) there will be some slight engine " wobble" / "shaking". No problems at all when the car is moving. The engine wobble is not evident if i depress the accelerator gradually. I remember clearly i noticed the same finding on the the test drive car at the BMW showroom a couple of months ago. Not sure if this is the nature of the bmw turbocharged engine these days in comparison to the previous naturally aspirated engines.Basically i don't think this is a major issue here but would just like some opinions.Thanks

Are U referring to the engine start/stop function? But this is evidence when the car stop after driving, e.g. at the traffic light and your foot on the brake pedal. The engine switch-off and then when U release the brake pedal it will restart. You can cancel this function by pressing the cancel button near to the start/stop button, not the start/stop button.

No, it's not the Auto start stop thingy. The engine wobble is mild but can be felt upon brisk tapping on the accelerator when the car is on P or N mode. And this is only felt when car is stationary. No issues when car is on the move.

TSS it is called torque and engine mounting dampers. The firing pistons will shake an engine. It's even more evident on those big V8s. It moves and you feel it in the cabin. That is normal for a powerful engine. If no dampers you engine mounts will crack.

I was enjoying that feeling in my E90 325 ... Was revving it in my car park la. Hehehehe ...

No la... mine and yours also same engine. N52... not old.. trial and tested....
