Guys,

We will be staying overnite at Cameron Highlands and have the following hotels in mind. I have also called the hotels and since April 17 is a low season, no reservation is needed.

1. Equatorial hotel (Brinchang) - Price RM 252.00 nett for Superior room for 2 pax. Price include a voucher of RM 98.00 for F & B.

2. Hotel Casa dela Rosa (between Tanah Rata & Brinchang) - Price RM 192.00 nett for Superior room for 2 pax with breakfast.

3. Hotel Rosa Passadena (Brinchang). Price RM 128.00 nett for Superior room for 2 pax with breakfast.

Depending on majority we will decide our descent from Ringlet to Tapah after lunch.

Dear All,

I just done another reconnaissance on the route yesterday. At Sg. Koyan, there are 2 petrol stations that you can make refuelling and toilet stop (both on your right) and after that there will be approximately 78.5km of hilly route without any mobile network coverage/toilet before reaching Ringlet Town.

Counting from the T-junction at Sg. Koyan to the newly opened road leading to Ringlet, landslide leading to closure of road (detour/diversion) is approximately 26km and a cave-in at 30km (on opposite road). Another major cave-in at approximately 55km (JKR had erected new red warning sign, please pay attention). This is where I mentioned earlier where the opposite lane being closed completely, leaving the Ringlet bound lane + emergency lane.

Please drive carefully.

Please bring your walkies (and chargers), check your cars (tyres, water, etc.) prior to departure, and bring anything you may need along the way (drinking water, flashlights, etc.).
