1997 525i

Hi guys,Friend of a friend has a 525i (1997) for sale, and I have a few questions:1. Is this the model just before the current E60, i.e. the E39?2. What type of engine is this running?3. What's a good price for it? (Have not seen the car yet, but was told it looks to be in good condition)4. Should I consider it at all - I'm currently driving a 1999 E46 318i (Japan spec).Thanks!

1997 shud be the 523i....

E39 year 1997 should be the 523i single Vanos engine, market selling price should be around RM120-130K depends on spec and conditions.

1996-1998 523i (Single Vanos).
1998-2000 523i (Double Vanos).
2001-2005 525i (Double Vanos).

Sorry guys - checked with friend again - it's actually a 1997 E34, with lots of goodies before they introduced the E39.

What would be a good price for the 325i? Claimed to be in immaculate condition. Will be viewing these few days... AB car - would this be CKD or CBU?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

1997 still got E34? I tot the last batch was 1996, but all of them should be manufactured in 1995. Should come with leather seats, 540i wide grill, rear sunblind and auto cruise. The E39 was introduced in 1996...........

Was told registered 1997, manufacture probably earlier. Probably came with full accessories to clear stocks.
