car model 318i...running on the Hartge Classic Rims. currently using 225 45 18", however, i feel that it is not wide enough, therefore thinking of switching to 235 45 18..

Not wide enough??!!?? Are you trying to make the car as slow as possible?
And if you are, then you should use the proper size of 225/ 40 / 18.
My cousin has a 318i with 225.45.17, if you go 18", look for 40 profile tires. 45 is rather fat.
think is true..at times feel that 18 is too heavy....car barely can reach 180kph..that day was on NSE, cannot catch up with C class...a pity....but with the 18...it makes my car look good....guess have to sacrifise performance for look.
So you guys think i should stick back to 225 rather than 235....
bro..i'm using a 328i and running on 225/40zr18.for ur 318i it shud be more than adequate.
btw my tyres(sp9000 dunlops) are running thin on thread already and looking to replace them.thinking of getting Michelin PS2s..anyone know where the best place to get them?? any ideas how much?? same size as above..
