I was discussing with my frens about the ride quality of BMW 325 Sports Package considering it was shot with 18" rims. I need feedback whether if they are swapped for 17" rims, would there be marked improvement in ride quality? Someone told me there would not be a significant difference between 18" and 17" rims/tyres. Thoughts?

Butt feel is very subjective among people. What might be comfort acceptable to me might not be for others...
My thoughts will be there will be a negligable difference if you down size to 17".
