guys, what's a good rim to consider (in terms of looks) for E36 in 16'?Was thinking of the standard e46 bmw rim like the ones on DD's car (his is 17' though).

Personally, i prefer the first photo....but then again.......i have those set of wheels on my ride...... :D

Whats a reasonable price for the rim in photo 1 (it's called Type 45), rim only?

Check with Sunny tmn mayang, sometimes they hv 2ndhand ori for sales..Saw it couple of times..

Yeah, the Type 44 are nice. Doesn't go out of fashion easily. Hahaha...best of all, very easy to clean. And they are highly sought after. At least 3 of my friends tried to convince me to part with those rims. Hahahah....neh neh neh neh!

Shyang_my, my friend has ben looking for those 16" Type 45 rims. Can you pm me your asking price and if possible, email me pictures of the rims. My email is kelvin@bmwclubmalaysia.com. Cheers.

Go for 17 larr....lagi sporty...yet still acs 2 18" replica is a born item for e36. saw one ride ipoh with them...shud tellu larr. they really look awesome.

Number2 .... yup, I know DD's is type 44 and only comes in 17

manjit .. i know 17s are great looking and I'm on one myself (look at picture below) but after calculating the money i have spent on tyre replacement (current and previous car) this year alone and not to mention alignment, camber adjust and balancing .... I don't think it's practical anymore .... in Malaysia that is. It's simply wonderful when I had 17s on my ride in Oz land but hear .... hurts my pocket more. I think i'm gonna stay on 16'.

Incidently my 17 titanium rims are up for sale (see pic below). PM if anyone is interested.

Type 43, 45 owners ... you've got PM.

crymson, if you've experienced on 17" and u had a bad experienced on it, might as well go for 16" if that will make u happy..... after all, its ur own budget though... :yes!: .... IMHO, option 2 is very nice rim to fit to ur dark blue e36.... :D
