3.2 liter engine upgrade...

i believe a ball park limit to how much one can bore is to max 20% over and above the existing engine capacity.

However did hear some years back of Singaporeans bringing their Audi's and Volvos to JB to do some 50% increases to E.C.

B23 can't go any further unless change 2.5 block. Due to the block can't rebore that much. And the 2.3L cylinder head can only match 2.7 piston not 2.5. Unless major work carry out like shave piston.

About the thickness, no worries. This has been tested and proven and R&D for many time. And use worldwide for so many BMW generation.
For your info my E30 3.0L I rev 7200rpm everyday at least 10 times. And been at least for 6 to 7 years.
