Any suggestion on stabilizing the 2010 X5? As it is a bit bumpy for passenger and worse for the rear passenger, feel dizzy after riding on X5.... any suggesstion anyone?

Changing the RFTs to normal ones definitely make a huge difference. Recommended is the Michelin Latitudes which is so much more comfortable. Also do activate the adaptive drive when over rough bumpy roads makes some differences too. From the other X5 forums, anything more than 19" is a little 'bumpy'. Most X5ers either downgrade to 19 or 18 for a 'comfortable' ride. Btw, welcome to the forum :)

Thank you and thank you... i am not too sure what is RFT? I am trying to look for the adaptive drive thing but couldnt find it. I seen some SUVs come with the control when you can switch the drive mode, either sports or comfortable, but i couldnt find this function.... MIne is standard 18" from the factory, nothing had been changed... only thinking on the suspension at the moment due to the above reason. My son even throw up during our 2 hours drive...:(

Pump more air into the tyre.
RFT sidewall is harder, therefore, unlike conventional tyre, lesser pressure do not do any good to RFT.

Mine is 19", was thinking of dropping to 18"...but seems like that won't make much of a difference huh...

Thanks for posting this thread. I was planning of upgrading to a X5 as I find my 325msport a bit uncomfortable for the rear passengers but I think I now have to change my option to a non msport sedan model.

i test drove both and ended up getting the rrs. it's definitely not as bumpy as the x5. In any case, the x5 doesnt behave or drive like a true suv.

got an advice from a friend to change to a stiffer absorber for the rear... any comments?

Have U find a solution yet. My wife is thinking of changing car due to this bumpy ride. Would changing the Sport suspension to a Normal suspension helps? Someone recommended this to me.

QHAD: Will changing suspension help? Have you try out? i havent got any ised just yet...

I thought the X5 come with auto levelling rear suspension.
So changing that should be a no no....
Auto leveling should also even out the rough surface and give you a rather cushy ride. NO?

I had E53 X5 Sport running on 19 inch ( Stock) in Uk and I dont find the car bumpy, Infact it was a lot more comfortable compare to E46 Ci I replaced with.
I changed my tires to Bridgestones , replacing worn out Michellin Latitude and they were even quieter. Cant remember the exact model though..

X5 is a different machine and it handles quite well, more like a grown up 5 series compare to my friend's Harrier.

Luckily i didnt change that!! it wasnt bumpy, but kinda roll as rear passenger got car sick most of the time or feel dizzy after ride.. Agree with you on Bridgestone.. i had recently changed mine and it for sure quieter...
