Hi guys,Went to mechanic today and was told they unable to perform wheel alignment on bmws as they dun have cluster..they say unable to adjust, only can change to different type of tires to decrease the swerving.. what i want to know is that, what u guys do when facing alignment problem?

I believe wheel alignment supposed to be done at tyre/tire shops and not at the mechanics.

I recently change rims, tyres, off wheel and on wheel balancing, camber adjustment and alignment in a tyre shop.

Either the tire shop pulling a fast one on you or they are not familar with BMWs. Be it the case, suggest you go to MPS Auto at Sunway as they are Michelin dealer and very well versed with BMWs alignment & camber adjustment.

hi...

changed rim and tires today for my cousins e39 shah alam tires...

while doing allignment, shop tells me my camber is all out.. so asked for the reading and he told me the rear is -1.4 and they recon it should be at -1.2 as my old tires inner wear looks serious and can cause car to swerve at high speeds... i told him its ok but he insist... i gave in... i was actually looking at -1.5 set-up all around...

advice pls..

any idea what the stock camber set up front and rear for e39... rolling on 235/40/18 all round

tq

Did my alignment today and snap the final setting.

From the pic, u can see the front left camber is -1.59 but right camber is 0.0. Do u think it is correct? The boss said the setting because our Malaysia road design tilt a bit in left.

was wondering for wheel balancing, does it matter if the shop have special computerised equipment or just any tire shop will do?

I find one of the tyre shops in Tmn Sea in PJ quite good, staff are friendly and service is fast.
Seen lots of Alphards, BMW's and Merc's at the shop long before i even got my e39. Their price seem's reasonable so am quite happy to go back.

Shop's name is Sunny Car Care Centre, just before the bathroom fittings shop.

Address: 12 & 14, Jalan SS23/11 Taman Sea
