Well I'm Damien, I own the RHD car that HPF are working on. :D
And since I would be tracking it quite often in Malaysia, I thought people here might be interested in knowing about it.

Wassup bro :4: It'll be a monster of a car :top:
It still can't compare to their LHD versions though. The Steering Column in our Right Hand Drive cars cut right across their usual turbo placement, so they've had to go with two smaller turbos instead. We're still looking at probably 600horsepowers, but nothing like their usual 1000+ horsepowers.

Hey hey! Haha, yeah, I figured I should start talking it up closer to home instead of just the U.S. and U.K. forums.

Yeah, HPF is looking to get the car completed in Summer, so hopefully should get the car here around July/August this year. And getting it on track in Malaysia is at the top of my "to-do" list.

Looks like the turbine was relocated to the bottom.

So if hujan and the water splashes on the hot turbo how??? Cannot drive when it rains?

It should be fine, cools down the turbine:)

I have done a bolt on kit on my e36 318iS before. Went the same route, initially was on behind the right headlight and then relocated to the bottom.

However at the bottom the return oil flow from the turbine back to the oil sump could be a problem as difference in height is minimal and there could be White smoke emitting every morning.

So the turbo housing will not crack?

Didnt experience that, its a thick cast housing. Should be able to withstand the extreme change in temperature.

But from the video, the turbine is extremely low. When the downpipe is fixed it maybe lower that car's bottom flat level. Going through bumps maybe a problem.

bottom mount turbo's need a scavenger pump to push the oil back to the sump. otherwise u get problems like BUndy said, smoking turbo adn oil from the seals. but unless u want the stock look, top mounts are easier to do. HPF likes the stock look, look at their LHD kit. so they must have tried the same for the RHD kit.
