Wirings

To all sifus out thereFollowing an accident, I needed to replace my left hand (LH) rear lamp recently. I bought the unit from 1st Division, Jln Ipoh. When the wirings are all connected, the reverse, left signal and the brake lights all light up but only 2 upper stripes of the tail light lits.My wireman has been spending a lot of time on it without complete success. I am based in Seremban and would like any advice as to the appropriate wireman for it in the vicinity.

I found a good wireman in Seremban town who sorted out my wiring problems with relation to a faulty speedometer. Not sure what the name of the shop is. If coming from senawang side heading towards the seremban train station the shop is on the right a few shops down from the big car accesory shop mainly selling ICE(has big Clarion and Alpine ads on the front of the shop). It is actually a shop that sells batteries.

My mechie sends my car to a wireman in the vicinity of Min Soon which I think is somewhere near the location you had described.

Thats the 2nd unit that the wireman is working on. The 1st didnt function either. So I dont really know whether the unit is faulty or the wireman is not good at his job.

I dont know the technicalities. But only the tail light isnt functioning. The reverse, signal and brake lights all lit up well.

Thx Alex5522. Someone in Vanija BMW workshop is working on it right now. According to him a wireman had connected a wire from the tail light cable to my 3rd brake light and that had caused the tail light to be shorted whenever its connected to the cable. He had removed that 3rd brake lightwire.


Unfortunately the LH rear lamp unit (that would be the 3rd one!!) is not available in 1st Div and the Puchong BMW parts outlet. So have to go about without a LH tailight for the HR holidays.

If that still doesnt work, I'll get back to you.

what was the problem with your speedometer that requires a wireman to sort?
i have issues with my speedometer....

at first start of the day:
1. fuel gauge empty even with full tank
2. outside air temp showing freezing temps
3. engine temp full scale

I urgently need a LH rear lamp. 1st Div where I normally get my spareparts has run out of it (I got 2 from it; both have shorted). Can someone give the name and fon no of any BMW sparepart shop pls.

I know of a shop in Puchong but dont hv its fon no. Cant remember the shop's name also.

Someone pls help. TQ
