Hi buddy
Same encounter here.......nothing happened when I took it up to Penang or back, but 2days ago,,, it came back....

My finding is it while driving slow....often.....when I press lightly the brake pedal.....and Asc and ABS lights trying to on....I can feel jerky on the paddle and very uncertainty braking feels

At time I stop long enough or over night...Nothing...but soon reappear after a short slow initial drive and they lights will stay

Often both lights came on at the same time

39 is an uncle car......my the other is fun....wanna to try

But mine almost any surface after a short initial drive...ESP in the morning while going out from house into rush hours

Thanks bro app yr inputs

U r sift indeed

Bro... your situation is similar to what i'm facing ... it might be the Speed Sensor (cheaper) or ABS Module (killer).

If scanning result says only one of the sensor is faulty, try plug out the alrite sensor and fit it into the faulty one and scan again. If it doesnt solve the faulty sensor problem then its the ABS Module..

Dear beloved gurus and Sifu need your expertise What would you choose ATF or BMW rear disc rotor, disc pad and drum pads? Reliability vs economically

Thanks for all your inputs

To share, i changed my 2 front brake disc to original BMW disc and together with al 4 nos of brake pads original BMW as well. Before this, i was on Textar pads. The BMW pads sure produce much (i mean much much) less brake dust. I have better grips too, but maybe cause it's new disc, pads and also the new brakeline purchased thru the Goodridge GB.

After about 2000 km running in the disc and pads, i did a few emergency braking from 110km/h to full stop. Just to say, i never knew it could stop at such short distance. :)

Most workshop will recommend using original BMW brake discs. The pads you can use any brand you like.

Reason being the aftermarket brake discs have a tendency to warp and wobble after a while.

Its all about cost.ori parts are expenwsive and i mean realy expensive!but they perform and they last
Well.my livina ori pads are rm400 wwhereas the local ones are rm50 but the cheapo
Ones dust like craze and ori ones DONT DUST AT ALL!there u have it

howdy bro.....my pics show the wheel speed sensor and they are expensive.what u quoted for rm25 is d brake pad wear sensor.....yes from afar in the pics they look similar

My ABS and ASC light been going 'off and on' since I purchase my UDM 2 years ago and last week it decided to "ON' all the time and I though its only take away my ABS system and decided to ignore it for the time being.

Well, not only that I was wrong to ignore it but was terribly wrong and was punished not only with the infamous 'Christmas Tree lighting' the New Year celebration lighting decided to appear also (trans failsafe prog) and my UDM was limping since yesterday night.

Then I thought this time sure die because not only that Module is in trouble but the GB as well.

Under the diagnosis 5 fault codes appeared and all related to the ABS Module (code 32, 33, 128 and the rest I cant remember) and then and only then I realise that faulty ABS Module could also trigger the GB to go on trans failsafe mode.

Immediately change a new Module and code the same.

Total damage for the day:

ABS Module - RM1,360.00 (Bavaria Auto - Segambut)
Coding - RM200.00 (Subang)

Haiz....
