after driving for a short distant, both the ABS and anti slip indicator lights on, got all the 6 brake hose inspected -no leaks! what is the root caused? I was told that my rear rotor is thin, both of it and pad need to be replaced? How do you know your Servo giving way? cos 3k to replace itapp your adv and help

No worry, it can be just the speed sensors, cost about RM250 each and possible of DIY too. Have them checked. Enjoy your holiday, dont let this ruin it ya.

Yes agree, think would be the ABS sensor kaput only.

KC, time for u to buy a scanner. Now very cheap.

How much is the scanner? Can those generic bluetooth OBD sensor that can be bought on ebay work on an e39?

Not more than RM150. Search Jarance' thread.

Thanks guys
I took the ride up to north, initially after driving a ,couples of miles both abs and anti skid indicator lite on, i also felt when I depress the brake pedal, I could hear a squeaky sound....

Through out the journey up I was driving very slow, and careful, it's seems to function good
at time I can feel a bit not smooth when i depress the brake pedal and when the both the lights about to get on...

The very next day I pray for everything to work well and function as according tout purpose! In spite Got stuck in the traffic for more than 6hours more over in the rain, both the indicator lights were not on and I could press the asc button for the very 1st time,

This is the far best journey all of us been .....all of our kids enjoy themselves and when I ask whether u want to be Ina 34 or 39.....needless to guess .....the black one

Be replacing my rear rotor soon, as it wearing out.....

On my drive back to KL this morning, it happened to me!
But it was raining very heavily from Penang to Taiping. Then at Tapah RnR after I stopped and restarted the car, all lights went off and all is normal again.

Wonder what was the cause? Could it be the wet driving condition? Nonetheless all these while,I have been driving in wet heavy tropical rain but no such error was encountered.

Zib, you could have experience an aquaplane effect during the heavy rainfall.

This usually happen when the rear tyres are broader.

That could be the cause i.e aquaplaning but my rear tires are 235/40-18 and the front ones are the same size as well.
Yes broader than than the stock tires which is 225/55-16.

I hope the light is off for good now, else I am looking at some ABS or speed sensors.

KC it's just like running ya makita on speed 1 (a little vibration)and speed 3(smilling all away)...all you need to do is step on the pedal and let the speedo needle hit over 180km/h and definately all the little lights would be OFF for good ...

at what speed were you going when DSC light came on?

about 100km/h and thereafter the DSC lights stayed on even though did 160kmh occasionally when it was safe to do so.
Why?

aquaplaning can occurred as speed as low as 60 km/h.

It depend on the tyres, water pool and road condition.

Hi buddy
Same encounter here.......nothing happened when I took it up to Penang or back, but 2days ago,,, it came back....

My finding is it while driving slow....often.....when I press lightly the brake pedal.....and Asc and ABS lights trying to on....I can feel jerky on the paddle and very uncertainty braking feels

At time I stop long enough or over night...Nothing...but soon reappear after a short slow initial drive and they lights will stay

Often both lights came on at the same time
