I have posted my car for sale and numerous potential buyers have problem in getting good terms for financing. Either the rates are high or margin of financing is low. Anyone has leads to solve this problem?

Bro.. your 2001 car should be about 4.2%/pa (RHB).. Don't think your buyers would be able to get anything less than that..

With the current more stringent rules imposed by financial institutions, it is best your potential buyers has a larger downpayment and proper supporting documents. Otherwise, don't bother.. :)

Thanks for the info Bro.

Is it true car dealers can arrange for better rates? but need to pay processing fee...................

better rates i'm not sure
but sure can help potential buyers to get a loan

Yeah.. gagak's right.. due to their close ties with the institution. Getting the loan approved would usually be faster and easier. In fact, they'll even inform you if you'll need a top up on the downpayment to pull it through. Set back is, you pay lar.. Better rates, nope.. Set by the bank..

Gagak, bila mau minum ni? Gonna crash with the e46s again this week?

last yr to get the most favorable margin for used car finanicing now wud be 2002. for 2001, the most is 80% i think, and the best interest for private sale is via PBB, forget other banks. I believe your car cud get 3.75 to 3.9 depending on tenure and applicant financial standing
