Wheels - Pushing the limit

Folks,This may be good info for some folks out there looking to mod their wheels. As some would know this is quite challenging due to the extremely wide axle track of the F30 which calls for ++ on the offset of the wheels. End result of my search was this:View attachment 32195According to the shop owner, the maximum safe specs they've successfully pushed for F30 19"s are:FRONT====Wheels: 19" x 8.5" x ET 35Tyres: 19" x 245 x 35REAR===Wheels: 19" x 9.5" x ET45Tyres: 19" x 285 x 35Hope this has helped some in their quest.

Looks good, how does the wider wheels and stance feel on the road? what tires are those?

Do you think the rear could fit with a bit more agressive offset, maybe by 5mm to offset 40?

Not likely, according to the shop owner, the first set he brought in was ET 43 but had scrubbing issues. The subsequent batches he ordered in are all ET 45. Using my 2nd all time favorite tyres, Michelin PSS.

The cars feels more agile and the steering is more responsive compared to running with the RFT's. Apparently the whole setup is lighter than the 18's on RFT. Apart from that, the PSS is far, far, far better compared to the Pirelli Cinturato crap that came with the car. Corners smoother and at much higher speeds. Wet grip is far better, doesn't start hydroplaning at 80-90 km/h like what the Pirelli used to do.

I am on 19" already. Got n approx 2" gap between fender and tyres. Enough for a cat to sleep. Was contemplating lowered springs but worried of the comfort for the passengers.

Wow you guys must be living in areas where the roads are good. Its impossible for me to lower my ride due to the super duper poor road condition + awesome huge and high speed bumps where I live..sigh

Woh nice rim there. So irresistible. The poison is so strong and slowly and surely will get infected. I wonder for how long my car will remain stock. Cannot tahan already.
