WTA Price for Wheels

I wasn't sure of where to post this question, so here goes.What's a reasonable price to pay for a set of staggered 8.5" and 9.5" cast 19" wheel (CSL style) made in Taiwan by a reputable factory but branded in USA and comes with a 1yr warranty. I have been quoted between RM5,500 - RM6,000. I have never bought them before and so do not know the market price. Appreciate advice from folks here that are familiar with the prices. Another question is Where is a good place to shop for BMW replica wheels with the correct offsets for a BMW F30.Thanks in advance.Jason

Thanks for a reply. Is there a difference between replica and imitation? I understood that they meant the same i.e. not made by the original manufacturer. However note that these wheels which I am looking at come with the japanese JWL and VIA certification. Some of their wheels in sizes that are popular in Europe also come with TUV certification.

So Chrix, can you share what you think should be the price of this set of wheels?

Honestly I have no clue, however I dont think anything imitation would have much value. Willing seller willing buyer?

Perhaps you could first look at the prices of other wheels with the same PCD & specs, then start from there. Taking note of the condition & even your own urgency to sell.

IMO, imitation wheels are just ment to LOOK like the original, without much care for its manufacturing process or engineering, where as a replica would be a honest re-manufacturing of the original.

May I ask who which shop sells Forgestars in KL? Those in Sunway?

there are a couple of shops I know selling forgestars in KL..but depending on the type, u may need to wait 1-2 month delivery as they don't carry many stocks at one time..

As far as I know, BMW motorsport division only uses BBS rims.

Found it. They are BBS FI, one piece forged. The 19" weigh about 19lbs+. The 5 x 120 lug versions are produced for BMW in M3 sizes only. Cost.... at least USD8k for a set of 4.
