"Wheeling" sound from a/c compressor

Send it for checking ..

It could be the clutch bearing or the belt itself ..

In the last 3 weeks - i have changed 6 compressor !! And it all started with just a 'slipping sound'. I used BOSCH comp - where to find .... arrghhh ..

It's on my E34 .

pro-longing clutch bearing failure may lead to the upper housing of the comp unit to be worn off easily .... ..those days the upper case comp housing can be fixed by inserting another custom made housing ...but these days they don't wanna do it any longer and instead request to change the entire comp unit ....senang kerja dan lui can get banyak lorrr

1 charge only because the shopgives warranty .. Everytime the aircon engaged at high speed , the clutch will get burned. Mind you - these are refurb units.

This is a case of - got money oso cannot find spare parts. Forget abt using Japs compressor - won't last for even 1 day .. !

read somewhere in this forum, fellow forumner been using a jap comp........no issue at all.

did naidu manage to troubleshoot your compressor noise? what was wrong? did he fix your electric seat cables as well?

had to change the whole unit bro, coz it wasnt the clutch bearing as i assumed to be. It was bigger than that. my seat, yeah, as soon as he touched it, everything was working well and fine. sigh..kena doctor nyer tangan only everything ok!!
but am not too satisfied with it, need a second opinion elsewhere.
left his place by 330pm..Managed to catch a glimpse of InitialM's ride, wah, super chun lah. He droped by to get somethings checked, thats the ultimate 39..

any noise since he replaced the belting for ur 34?

wow...must have cost a hand and a leg... so all is fine now? no more coc* looks from your neighbour? haha...

the sound is gone, but this morning while on the way to work, there's some other discreet sound, should be from engine compartment, but not sure from which part...haven't had time to open the bonnet and see where it's coming from...
