To all detailing sifu, need you expert advise as per title. Bought an e30 recently and try to restore it back to it previous glory. Before I send it for a full respray, would like to seek advise if ther are way to polish the chrome window trim back to it shine. Had try autosol with only very little improvement. Would prefer not to spray it black if there are ways out.

Some pics or more descriptions would be useful....

Is it oxidised/rusted? Has the oxidation/rust broke through the chrome? Is it ON THE SURFACE or ETCHED INTO the chrome? If those are the case, it'll be very difficult to restore. Autosol is a very mild metal polish, try a few more applications and if that doesn't work, it's time to send them to the pros.....

Regards.
