Instead of repair/pre-maintenance on a piece meal basis, send your car to a good reputable BWM workshop. Be prepared to fork out thousands of $$$$ if you want to bring your ride to a satisfactory performance level. Otherwise forget about owning a beemer:smokin::smokin:

Transporter, To avoid any speculation, can you tell us the time it take from 0 to100 km/hr on a level road.

mine is a 525i M54
0-100 havent timed it yet..
well, the car feel sluggish when pickup on a standstill..
i have experience better pickup before i took it to service and after i bought back the car, the car is slow like turtle on pickup...

torque converter...??

Maybe the gear is stuck at 2nd when at standstill in D. Transporter, try switching your gear into M mode and shift it to 1st. And throttle thereafter. Got difference?

i go change leaking oil seal..then the mechanic took out my radiator to wash...
after that he blame the fan clutch too tight...then i went back and he changed for me a looser fan clutch for free..but the pickup is not as powerful as it used to be...

i experienced this before...
before this hapen to me, i sent my car for a major service+top ovehaul
after i collect mycar, it was very slow in pickup...at trafic light, even a 660 SLK can tapau me easily...
then i took my car to mspeed and found that my cam shaft was position/timing wrongly...
after he adjust the cam position back according to the tool he had, everything back to normal....

i dono how the camshaft position can run like that,hehe...ask my mech who did the service, he said he didnt touch on that at all...:dontknow:
