What Other BMW Rim Can Fit Well On E46?

Hi ,

Just wonder other than the stock E46 rim, what other original BMW rim (especially E90 & F30) that can fit well into E46 without modification or additional fitting (center cone, spacer etc) needed?

Understand that some website can give a very good overview of the list of rim that's fit for E46, e.g. :

Found another thread claiming that wheels that fir for the E46 are with criteria the bolt pattern is 5x120, 72mm center bore, and the offset for both front and rear need to be between +35 and +50 :

I guess with the suitable offset between +35 and +50, there should be a lot of choice too, right?

Anyone who has experience of using other stock BMW rim from non E46 model can share the experience?

Yup, style 193 does looks great. Too bad that it's 18" since I prefer of 17" only.

Wonder is these F30 rims suitable to E46 too :

Since E46 quite old already and it's difficult to find a really good condition 2nd hand rim, might think of switch the attention to F30 (or E90) 17" stock rim, which I think it's easier to get a good condition used unit.

Seems like F30 rim can't fix on E46 since the bolt thread are different. However, seems like E9X rim can match :

3 Series E46 = PCD 5x120, centre bore 72.5mm and M12x1.5 bolt thread. ET 30-47
3 Series E46 M3 = PCD 5x120 centre bore 72.5mm and M12x1.5 bolt thread. Fronts ET 30-47, Rears ET 20-27,

3 Series E90/91/92/93 = PCD 5x120, Centre bore 72.5mm and M12x1.5 bolt thread. ET 30-45
3 Series E90/92/93 M3 = PCD 5x120, Centre bore 72.5mm and M12x1.5 bolt thread. ET 34-37

3 Series F30/F31 = PCD 5x120, Centre bore 72.5mm and M14x1.25 bolt thread. ET 31-47

Finally found a set of F20 rims that fit well on my E46 : http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/379

This rim is one of the closet offset (ET43) to E46.


Besides, has checked some F30 rim, though it's fitting holes are bigger for M14 bolt, but I used a M12 bolt try fitting into the hole and it does fit well too. So, I guess any F3x rim with suitable offset should fit well on E46 too.
