Hi all sifu,

I'm planning to rollback my e60 to original msport rim from existing vossen staggered rim which currently on 265/35/18 which the ride is on the harsh side. Since I got this rim without any tyre from the previous owner. Can I know what is the best tyre size I can put in? Like 245/40/18 or 245/45/18?

Thanks in advance!

Either size 245/40/18 or 245/45/18 is alright. 245/45/18 cost slightly more than 40 . I am using 245/45/18 for my e60 using above rim.

Herbert really power, got 245/24 size

I'm think tailor Herbert is referring to 245/45/18. Then I will look for 45mm thickness. More comfortable.

Btw I just sent my rims directly to the rim repair workshop in kepong for re-repaint and some knocking as 1 of the rim is bended. The damage is 420. I decided to send directly after compared the price with a reputable tyre shop at sunway - T**k M**g. He quoted me rm150 per wheel. I can share the contact but with this way is little hassle as need a spare rim by urself.

Check the door pillar for the tyre inflation guide, all the possible OE tyre sizes are stated there.

Thanks Astroboy! Let me check it out. But I always have impression the sticker only stated the tyre pressure only for 17' wheel.

Thanks UnoS/BlueMan respond. Will look for either 245/40/18 or 245/45/18. Need to make a trip to Klang kedai papan for 4 tyres.

Harry,

Any recommendations? I compared between kedai papan and q***k s**e. Papan still slightly cheaper.

Try at this shop TMK Rawang Shah Alam branch at Jalan Jubli Perak, Seksyen 19. Recently, when I checked the prices between kedai papan Klang and this outlet, I found out it's less expensive and less people.

TMK Rawang Shah Alam branch, rim and tyre price is quite ok.

For someone that want to buy new rim i will suggest TMK Rawang Shah Alam but if u just wanna buy tyre which is cheaper than Q_ _ _k s_ _e at USJ, there are 3 options:
i) TMK Rawang Shah Alam Branch (Seksyen 19 shah alam : 016-2083071)
ii) OS Autocare Centre (Jalan B/34, Seksyen 34 Shah Alam : 012-3837806)
iii) Tek Ming Auto Services S/B (Jalan PJS 11/24, Bdr Sunway: 017-8123688)

My front and back tyres size are different, my model is e60 year 2007. Is this normal? Front 245/40/18 and back is 265/35/18

Think its right. You may check the recommended sizes at the B-pillar (driver side door pillar).

Better to use back Ori size….245 40 18…. If not mistaken, the 45 series…the speedometer will be off a bit. This is for the Msports model. ..
