Or get an E30 316 body.....apparently lthe lightest E30 of the lot.....

Another thot:

The 2.8-liter Z3 ALUMINIUM block (52 pounds lighter), an aluminum flywheel, aluminum Z3 tubular lightweight exhaust manifold, and the M coupe (smaller) A/C compressor - this combination yields the same weight as an S14 engine from an E30 M3. So what you get is 6 pot power (approx 190+bhp stock) with the weight of a 4 pot e.g. S14, and this is installed in the lightest E30 chassis (the forementioned 316 body)......

Brace it nicely (front/rear strut brace) and maybe seam/stitch weld chassis = end result is a light, stiff chassis with a powderful engine. Just think, a Z3 2.8 is essentially an M52 - it can be coaxed further e.g. hot cams, stroking etc. ......imagine a 230+bhp engine in a car that weighs as light as or lighter than your average 4 pot E30.....just a thot.....

The above ideas are not mine, neither do I have any experience driving or owning such a monster car :)
