Have u ever change ur thermostate housing?
Also the heater inlet pipe n outlet pipe?
If not please make it in ur list of to do...
wingzee;829775 said:bro tweiboon, just change both thermostats and see how it goes. I suspect it's either that or the water pump. Any grinding sound coming from the pump? That may indicate a pump bearing failure which is quite common for our cars at these age.
Best case is to do a complete cooling system overhaul, if you have not done so yet.

moots;829818 said:idle ok but once driven it overheats....my suspicion is the waterpump.
you may have the plastic impeller pump.over time the impeller lets itself loose from the shaft.at idle it still circulates the coolant somewhat but once on the go the impeller will not be able to do its job.
plse dont let the temps go even near the red zone coz if the head is damaged...its game over...
