Warning light

Dear Sifus,My "low on coolant" warning light came on n off thru out my 30 KM drive. Wat seems to be the problem? Other the it meant low on coolant? Anything to do with radiator or expansion tank? Would it help if i flush my radiator soonest possible? Please advise. thanksCheers

bro.. not enough water (coolant).

btw, you need to bleed while adding water to prevent airlock.

just monitore the water level. if you need to top up every week, chances is that your radiator hoses, expansion tank is worn out. Just replace all of them. Change the thermostat as well.

I just fix this.... so I went to M Speed.. have pressure check.. and it's all ok .. no leaking.. and just add in BMW coolant for RM35 (with labour).. and after 2 weeks the water level still at it's place... :top:

itu lampu means tak cukup air.. but no worries, that indicator is conservative. when intermittent like that, you still have sufficient coolant to run engine at normal temperature.

every morning before go to work, check bottom of your car, if leaking you can see water on the floor with slight blue color (coolant).. if no leaking, just top up the water and see another few more days..

Thanks all of ya for the advice, Just check the water this morning b4 i crank the engine, water level seem alright. no leakage. I believe the coolant no enough as water look normal color without coolant. maybe i will just flush the radiator and see wat happens. keep u guys posted. thanks again.

same happened to me...once i refill with new coolant, problem seem to be gone..i used to topup water level at 1-2 weeks interval...but it has been 2 months and the water level remains.

on another hand, i ve got same problem with my engine oil! but i notice the only difference this time is that the workshop uses 5w instead of my normal use of 10w. so decided to change to 10w and the problem seems to be gone as well!!
anyone care to establish any theory on these? hehe
