Want to get a feeler/gauge on the interest for a group tuning session with TRM, a renowned tuner from the US. www.racersmarket.netThey are currently quite popular in the BMW scene in the US, with very good reviews from many of their customers. mostly Turbo cars. They can tune NA, turbo, superchargers, basically any setups you have in mind. some examples i can recall off my head done which we can relate to. US M3 3.0 NA stock - 230 rwhp328i NA - 20X rwhp with i think only exhaust and air filter.they only work on M50/M52 engines, running on Bosch ecu's which are chip based. If you're running the Siemens ecu, only way is to convert to Bosch. The charge is USD 1000 per car approx, pricey, but then again, its custom dyno tuned, and they're renowned for getting good hp/torque while maintaining daily driving feel. dyno costs is not covered, so we have to somehow share that.another plus point is from the specs of your car, they will be able to tell you what injectors, HFM etc you need. which they will provide if needed. otherwise they'll just tune the car to max of your setup. anyways, i would guess for this to happen, would need like 10-15 cars. so those dreaming of turbo'ing or supercharging your ride, now's the time. other than hardware, the tuning is most impt.

With aftermarket Fuel Management system, plus a Wideband O2, you can archieve more than what Tuner can do with USD1000.
Any you only get Dyno Tune, not street Tune. How often you going to WOT anyway ? ;)

Cheers

Any idea if this is going to work on M54 engine?
So far no. They're still working on the Siemens ECU. They've sorted the NA tune, but FI is still in R&D. But they did say soon though.

Stock ECU retains stock functionalities. I like to hear my 'dings' and 'dongs' when there's an error code somewhere. :) Aftermarket means having to bypass or remove the stock ECU on certain or all functions. Plus ori BMW runs on full sequential, aftermarket sequential is more than 1k usd i believe.

that's the reason why i'm looking to bring them down here. to either dyno or road tune. Remote tuning is always a bummer. anyways, i'm not looking to re-tune my car everyday, just want a tune that works.

btw, they've got a multi-tune going, meaning 8 tunes on one ecu. so u can have a tune for day, night, with nos, high boost, water/meth injction, traction control, etc etc. so far only for bosch ecu's. :D sounds yummy.

anyways, i'm waiting for them to finish their work on the siemens ecus. then we'll see if there's a critical mass going then.
