I plan to change my interior color. Anyone know where to get this vinyl paint done in KL / Selangor area? and How much approximately it'll cost me?Thanks

Central Cushion Kepong. I would advise that if you wish to change colour, there is risk that the new vinlyl paint can be scrathed and your old colour will be revealed. It's best to retain same colour or close to similar shade

What about the leather wrapping? any thought about it..? (only for the center console and lower part of the dashboard). Is it possible to do?

Yes, Central Cushion can do all this. Take it to them and ask for Mr Chew

Noted with thanks bro.. Will go and ask him once I came back from Vietnam.. Do you have his contact number for instance..?

HI guys,

Anyone tried the vinyl painting here before? Please share your experience, I am very keen to do it but not sure of the end result. Does it actually look good and natural? Ssmann did mentioned that it can be easily scratched and so on.

Thanks

Chinman

When you guys say interior...do you mean like seats, main console/dashboard, door cards?

I've painted just my door cards myself using a flat black spray paint (duplicolor IIRC). Holds up pretty well, no chips no bubbles and certainly holds up to the regular shoe contact when going in and out of the car. The effect is also pretty good, looks OEM.

Most of the time, horror stories of chipping and bubbling and paint not holding is due to improper prep work. Quality of a paintjob is actually quite dependent on the quality of preparing the surface. The extra effort in making sure that the surface is oil and dirt free will pay its dividends.

Removing the door cards is usually a piece of cake. But I would imagine the dashboard being quite a tedious job.

There's a shop in Sunway that sells interior paint. RM16 or RM18 for a small bottle. Friend of mine just purchased a bottle to try for his interior recently. They have paint for leather as well although I don't know how long that would last.
