Hi all, I did a quick check of my new 320d VIN using one of the online BMW VIN decoders and there's a discrepency, the online VIN decoder shows production date 2009/12 while the JPJ registration shows 2010.What should I do? Every document I have including the loan docs with the bank shows a model year 2010. Is this something to worry about? I got the car about a week ago from Auto Bavaria...

How did you check? What website and do you punch in the chasis number? Better value for your car if its 2010 registered. I think that's all that matters-the JPJ card date. Are you going for the F10 launch next Friday at KLCC?

FYI, all BMW cars after sept production will declare as next year car... correct me if i was wrong..

sometime it better not to know too much or too little.

Auto Bavaria is an BMW Authorized Dealer. If you are not happy, call up the Sale Advisor who sold you the car to clarify.

dun worry, even wen u sell the car, dealers will see the log card date, not much issues there
actually its a plus for u

I think for ckd cars there will be 3 to 4 mths lapse period between the vin production date and jpj card. vin prod date is engine and chasis prod date that passed in germany but jpj prod date is when car fully assembled in malaysia.
