Valvetronic Catalytic Converters?

Where are the catalytic converters on the valvetronic models of the E46?Im referring to the N42 and N46 valvetronics found in the facelifted E46 318i and the E90 320i's.As i read in e46fanatics, and im not sure if this is limited to US-Spec cars only but i doubt it, with the E46 330i, the M54B30 right?, the catalytic converter is located right on the manifold or at least as part OF the manifold and not the exhaust system per se under the car as per the traditional notion of the catalytic coverter.Is this the case with the E46 valvetronic engines?Ive attached 2 diagrams, one of the manifold and one of the underbody exhaust systems.If its the same as the M54B30, then the cat should be the round thing on the manifold and the 2 boxes on the exhaust system are merely resonators?Thanks alot in advance...
