Upgrade from 7 inch to 10.2 inch Pro Navi, anyone?

Might not be applicable to CKD cars but for some PI/ Recon F10 who hasnt got 10.2 inch Pro Navi, As per title: Anyone done it yet?I bought my car from PI and am thinking to do the above.What do you guys think?Bro and sis who had done the upgrade please share your view.

It's definitely a good idea to get it upgraded but I'm not sure if you can just change the LCD only or it requires the CIC to be changed along. As usual, it would probably cost an arm and a leg since it's so new

hey there, as far as i know there's no ori retrofit kit available to change the display from 7" to 10" i won't say it's impossible to do it here in malaysia if u know what i mean

p/s alot of things have to be done, CIC have to change, have to get enabling code for navi, change vehicle order etc. etc..

Retrofit kit are available, as far as I know, there are a few vendors doing it in Sg. But costly upgrade..

5.8K SGD is quite a bit for a bigger screen and simply not worth it IMHO My suggestion is to use that 5.8K SGD for some exterior mods and buy an iPad 2 to put it in the car. You can show the girls that you've got a mini computer/pad in the car and money well spent :biggrin:

haha, can buy 2-3 ipads for every passenger.. i saw an ipad holder from BMW before..

Already got Ipad 2.
The only girl using it is my wife! hahaah

I just like the style of having the OEM big screen. Is costly ( as much as fixing M sport kit) but dont know worth the effort or not?
For 2k more, they can do the Ori Bluetooth retrofit and 6NR.

with that amount of money, you could get the ipad3 next year... ipad 4 on the other year, ipad 5 a year after that... new technology every year..

In my opinion, RM5-6K you still can consider but anything more than that, it's simply not worth it

I have a friend which is a BMW specialist and he is discovering how to do it If it's successful then it should be easy to do on F10 and all other models.

I dont really need the Nav system afterall.

I just want to have a bigger screen to fill the voided space and make the interior more upclass feel....
