Both e38/e39 safely arrived B`worth this afternoon from long journey trvlg.
>e39 ...after 3 months left idle in workshop ( due to repair job/ accident) still maintain its original performance.
fuel consumption 9.0L/100km . Very reliable and economical car( fuel cons and maintenance cost)
> e38 : overall 8/10 rating in term of comfort and performance. Fuel cons: 11.5L/100km .
Total distance trvlg 1480 km during last 4 days journey for each of UDM.

e38 problem just crop up
Just after Jln Duta toll heard warning bell sound ...saw msg `TRANS FAIL SAFE PROG` appeared on the OBC.
More or less I can agak2 msg is something to do with transmission problem but don`t really feel any adverse
performance at that time ....pretend not serious just continue journey at average 160kmj . At Juru toll slowing down to 20 kmj
and passed through toll hse still not notice any differences. At tfc light approaching my hse, slowing down speed to stop.
When pressing pedal hard to floor ...car seems very heavy/lazy to move but slowly increase its speed and back to normal performance once
speed touching 100kmj. Stop engine and restart , msg still appear after short travelling and heavy again.

Sifu2 here ...your views/advise please

What is the problem per massage?
Which part need to change and its est. cost ?.

Note: Almost every screws and nuts have been touched except speedgear.

Hi there, something to do with air flow sensor . My mechanic just clean up the host and reset ... the problem solved. Problem not recur until now. .
