Trans prog + central lock prob

Dear all,1. Today, my car shows this error msg "trans prog"...what happened next is, the car can still move but the gear didnt engage..i did switch on-off the engine, but the msg still appear..any1 encounter this prob b4?2. Another thg is, my central lock seems to be haywire lately. When i open the door manually, only drive side is open. However, when i press the brake, all lock are open. I dy check with accessories shop since the alarm is not ori, but that fella said this could be due to relay prob. So, I checked with wiringman, but he said need to replace the relay (under the back seat), then only he can do the testing. So, I went to few chop shops and found the relay, but the prob still the same. So, I went to workshop, and the mechanic said this is alarm prob...ahhh..really dont know which is which..

Update

1. After much testing, need to change GB. So, now, looking for 5 Speed GB (Jap spec-forgot what they call it).
2. Still the same.

It could be simple thing like the battery, when it is running low it starts to shutdown some less critical module to keep your car moving. Or it could be the Intelligent Battery Sensor.

Check the ABS Module first, estimated to cost around RM 2200!

i had the same problem but lucky was switch problem only.

tq bro...but mine is only e34...gb can get less than RM1.5K...but, the one I will be getting is super duper cheaper!

Battery just changed last year..October to exact..so, dont think it's battery prob

That module can get around RM150 to RM250...of course, its kedai potong price...

1. GB changed. I got it from chop shop, which mech took it from the engine. The inside of GB is clean, like new. The gear change is a bit raw from 1-2, but after that, it smooth. Once the engine is hot, the raw gear change dissapear. But, at night, when I want to drive, the "trans prog" error appear again. Pening kepala..any advice? Should it bcoz of ecu GB? FYI, I only change the GB.

2. This time around, central lock went crazy. I cant open the door from driver side, so I get into the car from co-pilot side. Thought everything was ok, I started to crank the car. What happned was the engine didnt start despite there is cranking sound. Puzzled with what happend, I took out the rear seat and and refitting the central lock module. Then only I can start the car. I open the driver door from inside and what happend was, I cant close it back! Aiyo..tension mcm nie...so, in order not to bleed my wallet too much, I've been thinking to bypass the original central lock and use the accesories shop alarm. Anyone done this? Feedback really appreciated.

I really think that we can bypass the system as my previous e34 was equipped with aftermarket central locking system done by the earlier owner..

my car also got trans prog problem...
